CAN I BOOK IF I HAVE LASH EXTENSIONS FROM A DIFFERENT ARTIST?

Unfortunately, we do not work over other aritsts' work. Every artist uses different products and have different lashing styles and blending takes a lot of work, especially if the previous artist does not have similar styles. However, we always welcome new clients. Please book a complimentary removal along with your new set and we can start fresh!

WHY DO I HAVE TO WASH MY LASH EXTENSIONS EVERYDAY?

Cleansing your lash extensions are very important! It promotes healthy lash growth, keeps any infections and lash mites at bay, and has your extensions looking as good as new. Every new lash extension client is sent home with a complimentary aftercare kit that includes BJoy Beauty Lash Cleanser, a cleansing brush, an extra spoolie, and an aftercare instruction sheet. Your artist will also go over how to properly cleanse your lashes.

WHAT MAKES ME NOT A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR LASH EXTENSIONS OR LASH LIFTS?

  • Recovering from any eye surgery 

  • Have a current or consistently have eye infections such as blepharitis, conjunctivitis, styes, etc.

  • Allergic to medical grade cyanoacrylate

  • Pick or pull your lashes habitually

  • Wear eyeliner and eye makeup daily

  • Cannot commit to proper aftercare 

HOW CAN I PREPARE FOR MY UPCOMING APPOINTMENT?

  • Arrive with clean lashes and a fresh face. This means no eyeliner, eyeshadow, or mascara on the eyes.

  • Face makeup is ok, but just know some of it may be removed during the service!

  • Lash extensions adhere best to a clean canvas. 

  • Avoid any caffeinated drinks to fully relax during your appt and prevent fluttery eyes.

  • If you're an avid contact wearer, We highly suggest removing them before your appointment to avoid any discomfort. You may remove them upon arrival!

  • Bring your own blanket and headphones for the ultimate experience.

DO I HAVE TO TALK TO MY ARITST?

Here at BJoy Beauty, we are all about making sure our clients are as comfortable as can be. We understand there could be some pressure to talk to your artist, but no worries! When booking your appointment online, check the box for a silent appointment. Once you come in, we will have a short consultation. Then you're free to sleep, meditate, or listen to your headphones. Our artist understands when quiet times is necessary.

I WANT TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT BUT THERE'S NO AVAILABILITY! 

First of all, that you for your interest in BJoy Beauty! Availability is very limited due to the high demand of appointments. Our calendar is only open for the current month and the following month. The following month's calendar is available to book on the 15th of the current month. For example, June calendar will be released on May 15th.  Most of the time you will find that there is little to no availability especially during the busy season, such as the summertime and the holiday season.

We highly suggest setting an alarm and booking when calendars are released. Regular clients at BJoy Beauty get first priority when booking. Therefore, whatever is remaining will be available to book for new clients. We understand how frustrating this can be but we always welcome newcomers! 

WHAT IS AFTERCARE/MAINTENANCE FOR LASH EXTENSIONS?

  • Lash extensions should stay dry for at least 24hrs after getting them done.

  • Cleanse lashes 1-2x DAILY with BJoy Beauty Lash Cleanser and brush and air dry or use mini fan for more fluff.

  • Brush lashes with provided spoolie.

  • Remove any eye makeup with oil free micellar water and get as close to the lash line as you can without touching the lash extensions (cotton can get caught in the base of the extensions!). Thoroughly and gently cleanse with BJoy Beauty Lash Cleanser to remove the rest of the makeup in the lash line.  

  • Use a lash growth serum to keep your natural lashes healthy and nourished.

  • Always prebook your touch ups!

WHAT IS AFTERCARE/MAINTENANCE FOR LASH LIFTS?

  • Keep your lash lift completely dry for 24-48hrs. If exposed to moisture, lash lift results may change.

  • Use the suggested Keratin Nourishing Serum daily to maintain your new lash lift. This will help it grow in place and provide moisture to your lashes during the grow out process.

  • Keep in mind that sleeping on your face, swimming, high intensity exercise, habitual eye rubbing, and use of eye makeup will effect the longevity of the lash lift.

  • Results lash 4-6 weeks depending on aftercare and natural lash growth cycle.

  • Book reoccurring lash lifts every 6-8 weeks.
